East Lancs Business Event - Oct 2007
MORE than 60 companies from across the North West
took part in a business networking event.
The third East Lancs Business Event was held at Ewood Park, Blackburn,
to give firms the opportunity to take part in a number of seminars on
topics including sales and marketing, networking and business planning.
The event was organised by Cheshire-based Nemysys Events.
Businesses which took part included eBusiness UK, Blackburn; Jeff
Thomson PR and Stonehouse Logistics, both Burnley; HIT Computing
Services, Haslingden; Copycatweb, Clayton-le-Moors; and GSN Display,
Altham.

The Cheshire
Business Event at Northgate Arena, Chester, on the 17th May has been
hailed a resounding success by organisers and exhibitors.
Visitor numbers were forty per cent up on previous years with free
business seminars attracting dozens of attendees. “One exhibitor picked
up a new client within twenty minutes of the event opening,” said
organiser Paul Ashbury of Wallasey-based Nemysys Events.
Another exhibitor said “I’ve attended three previous events and this one
was the busiest with the most interest from both fellow exhibitors and
visitors.”
Around seventy firms, including many from the Chester area, took part in
the business to business exhibition part of the event. Others included
public relations and marketing businesses, accountants, printers, IT
specialists, hotels, finance, telecoms and car dealerships from all
areas of the north west. Also there were researchers from BBC’s
‘Dragon’s Den’ seeking entrepreneurs with investment ready business
ideas for their next TV series.
Reliv, the American-based nutritional products company chose the event
to launch itself on the Cheshire area. This worldwide business markets
it’s products in fourteen countries across the globe.
Seminars included ‘Winning More Business’ by Mark Pickles of the Sandler
Sales Institute, ‘How Money Works’ by Andy Lee of CiTiSolutions
Financial and ‘Running A Successful Business’ by John Haynes of
Liverpool Coaching Academy. There was also a very popular speed
networking event which attracted around fifty business people.
“The event has added to the diversity of the local business calendar and
reinforced the effectiveness of regional business events particularly in
an area like Chester where there is clearly an active business
community,” said Paul Ashbury.
Greater
Manchester Business Event - March 2007
The Greater
Manchester Business Event in Oldham on Thursday 22nd March was a
sell-out with all exhibition space sold. Plus, with free entry to
visitors and a series of free to attend business seminars running, the
event was a major success.
The event at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Oldham, opened 11am with four
different based-related seminars running hourly from 11:30am.
The seminar topics range from ‘Sales Success’ by Andy Preston of
Outstanding Results, Stockport, to ‘Dressing for Business’ by style
consultant Guy Adeuja of Liverpool. The seminars were free to attend.
Plus, the event featured a networking area where business met and talked
in an informal setting.
The event is organised jointly by Nemysys Events of Wallasey and the
Oldham-based Asian Business Association. Over 70 companies exhibited
including from the Oldham area, Ace Training Solutions, Cameron Chase,
Costco Wholesale, Mellor & Jackson Solicitors, Groundwork, Hathershaw &
Fitton Hill, HSBC Bank, Communications, Nat West Bank, Oldham College,
Oldham Borough Council, Plum Communications and Tax Assist.
Other exhibitors range from vending machine suppliers Café Bar (UK) Ltd
of Romford to Liverpool John Lennon Airport.

Event - November 2006
A triumphant return
to the Burnley Football Club on Tuesday 7 November saw the second East
Lancs Business Event take place.
The Event, renamed from last years Burnley Business Exhibition, featured
60 Exhibitors, a Networking Area and a series of Business Seminars.
The BBC Dragon's Den research department were also present looking for
Entrepreneurs to feature on the very popular programme.
The Mayor of Burnley, Councilor Mohammad Najib JP welcomed Exhibitors &
Visitors and opened the Event. He was accompanied by the Leader of
the Burnley Borough Council
Visitor numbers were at least 50% up on last year's event with many
Exhibitors reporting significant numbers of new contacts being made.
